The IDSnap Passport scans standard passports, visas and other travel documents as soon as they are placed on its window. An 8-megapixel camera captures 600 DPI images under visible, infrared and ultraviolet illumination for image and information recognition.
It reads the machine-readable zone and common barcodes, and supports e-passport and secondary RFID-card reading. The brochure describes Basic Access Control plus passive and active authentication for checking compatible e-passport cards.
