Designed for fast, controlled capture
The IDSnap 2000 gives software applications a consistent way to capture a card without asking an operator to frame a photograph or manually crop an image. Its fixed camera, controlled lighting and automatic document detection turn a simple card placement into a repeatable capture event.
Automatic card detection
Place a card on the anti-scratch glass and capture can begin automatically. A manual trigger is also available when the application needs tighter control.
Multi-light imaging
Capture full-colour, infrared and ultraviolet views to support both data extraction and inspection of features that are not visible in ordinary light.
Fast USB setup
USB 2.0 carries power and data, so the scanner needs no separate power supply and adds minimal cable clutter to a counter or enclosure.
Ready for desks and kiosks
A compact enclosure, no moving parts and integrated mounting points make the unit suitable for attended stations or embedded self-service installations.
From document image to usable data
The IDSnap 2000 is more than a camera at the edge of your workflow. It supplies a consistent image source that Acupixel software can turn into structured information for the application your team already uses.
- 01
Present and capture
The scanner detects the card and captures controlled full-colour, IR and UV images in under one second, depending on the host computer and selected lighting.
- 02
Read machine-readable data
With the appropriate Acupixel software, extract supported OCR and decode PDF417, QR Code, Data Matrix, Aztec, MaxiCode and common 1D barcodes.
- 03
Return it to your workflow
Use the resulting image and data in visitor registration, onboarding, access control, account opening or a self-service transaction.
The IDSnap 2000 is optimized for compact simplex capture and data acquisition. Workflows that require simultaneous front-and-back imaging or deeper forensic inspection should use another model in the IDSnap range.
